Who I am

I am a seasoned clinical social worker with over thirty years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most complex challenges. Throughout my career, I have worked with both children and adults facing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, addiction, mental health disorders, intimate partner violence, PTSD, and child abuse.

Recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all, I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities. While my practice is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

I am a proud grandmother to many amazing children—both biological and chosen. I spend as much time with them as I can and they fill me with wonder. Their energy, curiosity, and unconditional love fill my cup daily, reminding me of the beauty in simple moments and the power of connection across generations.

More about me.

I am a huge fan of our National Park System. There’s something grounding about standing in the vastness of nature, where history is written in landscapes instead of books. While I’m enjoying exploring my own country, I know that Europe is calling, and when things settle down a bit here, I fully expect to return.

I spent three incredible years as a social worker in London, and the experience left an unforgettable mark on me. Working abroad with some of the most vulnerable populations not only deepened my passion for this field but also completely transformed my worldview. It was a privilege to be part of a system that prioritized care and resilience in such a diverse and dynamic city.

I love to travel. I’m drawn to places rich with historical meaning—where stories of the past come alive and connect to the present. Living in London gave me incredible opportunities to explore the world, deepening my appreciation for different cultures and histories.
